Howard & Howard CEO Re-Elected For Second Term

Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, December 2008: Howard & Howard Attorneys, P.C. is pleased to announce that Mark A. Davis was unanimously re-elected as President and CEO for his second, five year term. During his first term, Mr. Davis led Howard & Howard to increased revenue year over year, he diversified the firm into the Nevada and Ontario markets and most recently purchased a 150,000 square foot building in downtown Royal Oak to which Howard & Howard will relocate its main office effective January 1, 2009. Over the next five years, Mr. Davis plans to continue to grow the firm by 15% per annum and is confident that Howard & Howard will be on the short list of law firms providing sophisticated legal services to businesses and business owners. “Adding value to our clients’ bottom line is the key to our continued success,” states Davis.
Mr. Davis concentrates his practice in business, real estate, securities and tax law. He has extensive experience handling the acquisition, development, leasing and disposition of automobile sales and service facilities across the United States. Mr. Davis also has substantial experience handling: (i) acquisition, leasing and disposition of industrial and commercial property, (ii) acquisition and disposition of business operations in various industries, including manufacturers, distributors, retailers and service providers, and (iii) registration statements under the Securities Act and reporting requirements under the Exchange Act. He was associated with E.F. Hutton and subsequently with the Michigan Corporation and Securities Bureau, Enforcement Division, from 1987 to 1991.
Mr. Davis received a B.A. in Accounting from Michigan State University in 1984, a J.D. from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 1987 and an LL.M. in Taxation from Wayne State University Law School in 1991. Mr. Davis authored "When is a Note a Security?" Thomas M. Cooley Law Journal, Fall 1990. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and its sections on Business and Real Estate Law.
