Howard & Howard Welcomes Labor and Employment Attorney to Kalamazoo Office

Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, May 2008: Howard & Howard Attorneys, P.C. is pleased to announce that Mary L. Pate has joined the firm and its Labor and Employment group. Ms. Pate will practice out of the firm’s Kalamazoo Office.
Ms. Pate focuses her practice mainly in the areas of litigation, labor and employment and construction. She received her B.B.A. from the University of Kentucky in 1983 and her M.B.A. from the University of Alaska in 1985. Ms. Pate earned her J.D. from the University of Puget Sound School of Law (now known as Seattle University School of Law) in 1990.
Ms. Pate has extensive experience litigating cases at both the state and federal court levels. She has represented employers before various agencies including the National Labor Relations Board, the Alaska Human Rights Commission, the Anchorage EEOC, the Federal EEOC and the U.S. Department of Labor. Ms. Pate also has a great deal of experience consulting with clients on employment law issues and assisting clients with supervisor training, drafting of policies and procedures and investigating employee complaints. She is admitted to both the State Bar of Michigan and the Alaska Bar, in addition to all state and federal courts in Alaska and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Ms. Pate is a member of the American Bar Association (Labor and Employment Section), the Michigan Bar Association, the Alaska Bar Association and the Kalamazoo Human Resources Management Association.
